Who hosts or where do the 24 hour movies come from?

by RCR031

It’s something that’s always intrigued me. Whether it’s on Mobdro or the IPTV I am currently using, who I’d physically hosting these things?

Thanks.

Google drive mostly, a few other TB cheap hosters too.

24/7s are easy to set up. i sorta did one back in 2009 for some friends to watch (mine wasnt a proper 24/7 but just a directory of tv shows and movies I had).. i set up the whole thing from a commandline in linux in about an hour. it literally just parses the directory and sequentially encodes them together in one giant loop in ffmpeg, then pushes it as it encodes to a streaming server. The methods, encoders, and servers have certainly changed by now, but the concept still remains.

I hope my provider gets their 24/7 backup. Is there any working services that currently have a solid 24/7 running.

I've gone from provider to provider looking for the best 247 channels. I've found now it's best to make the ones you're not happy with or that are no provider by your TV provider.

I don't have the patience to set it up in any way other than VLC. I need a GUI lol

Add all episodes into VLC.

Save the playlist of files you added as an M3U.

In a new window, you can click FILE, and then STREAM.

Go through the proceeding dialogue menus.

In this process you eventually set up a port to stream the video.

Most M3u urls you're givien you'll see a port in the URL 8080, 25461

The URL will be something like http://YOURIP:8080

Now VLC will play all the files you saved in your playlist earlier. If you connect to that URL you will see what is playing in VLC just like a regular channel.

That URL can be inserted within an M3U your provider gives you since an M3U is essentially just a list of links corresponding to channels.

My custom channels are inserted in my own M3u and I can stream them even if my internet is down. I had to do that last night haha.

I was honestly curious if anyone would be interested in buying them
