Use Tivimate instead is my Perfect Player tip.

I've always had mine on auto instead of hardware, seems to work well across the fire tv lineup

Buffer size set to 2 seems to help or at least not hurt, and I can have a channel going all day with flawless playback, something I have not been able to do in any other player so far

I like to use HW+ & Hardware for the 2nd generation stick .. depending on the Iptv provider with buffer size set to 4

And for the new 3rd Generation 4K stick I use hardware and buffer size set to 4 ... those work great for me and the services I have used PP on..
