The mods definitely need to coordinate their message, some were trolling folks (who have been loyal subscribers) who signed up only because of m3u support.
It was frustrating to read, as I am one of those people who has to eat the monetary loss and look elsewhere.

At this point - there is no reason to stick with them. M3u works on so many devices. They may as well be MAC only. But they aren't even that.
yeah this sucks. I know people are pissed and Yes the APK is the worst and cheesy i have seen. First Jarvis is just a rebrand of another service so I don't think he really has a choice in the matter. And second he stated it isn't a priority at this time. Again he is just relaying what the Main Service has decided. I don't think Jarvis has any say. I am alos looking for a M3u provided now
What's the best US based w/ m3u option now?
Well they released the web-app. lol its the same as the apk, so likely both are same framework, some react js or something like that. But its trash, guide and channel selection are more wonky than on the app. also, i looked in the console of chrome dev tools while loading a channel: see some fun things... like theyre tracking your IP and its geolocation via pro.ip-api.com.
Its also sending your data to google analytics. And It also looks like theyre trying to serve ads. mine is getting blocked by adblockers, but this could just be other trackers or similiar
Jarvis was my favorite Iptv that I’ve ever had. Sucks I will have to now go searching again for a new US based provider. Anyone have any recommendations?
Jarvis was awesome for me in AU. Never had any buffering issues. It’s a massive shame they are removing m3u. I know it’s not Jarvis choice but the way the mods are handling things are disappointing. The app is disgusting. I use 5 m3us which are merged. No chance am I going to use seperate apps.
On the flip side I also left Gears because they forced you to use their app. Sucks that they're getting rid of the most popular way to use the service.
Prime Streams was the most stable and had the best quality out there! I've tried so many others and nothing comes close. If they decide to go this route which i heard a week ago that this was true will be devastating for their service. They will lose alot of customers. That's too bad for one of the greatest services out there. There is plenty of others that still offer m3u and epg. I'm shocked that Prime is going downhill!

Jarvis already cut M3U this morning, would have been nice to change on weekday instead of weekend with NCAA football on Sat and NFL on Sunday! Understand the ITPV world got thrown into turmoil but got to work towards a solution that doesn't exclude the overwhelming majority of users. Also looking for reliable service with M3U, HMU.

bummer. I cannot install custom app on my TV and now I need to find a new provider.
I was just in the Jarvis discord asking about this, they gave me the same "Calm down it will get better" excuse. But they dont get it, The app should be at least usable since they are literally killing all our other IPTV apps including my favorite Tivimate, I dont wanna use this slow AF laggy app for my IPTV. the guide alone is horrendous, I cant even navigate it properly and it doesnt respond properly to button pressed and has a 2 second delay between channel switching, Sadly I will not be using Jarvis anymore, So farewell this great service. I'm just gonna let my subscription run out and enjoy it until it does.
So /u/lscheres710 What is the next best or better IPTV service that you would recommend that will continue to use M3U playlists?
They are claiming only 20% use m3u which I doubt. Most users would be using PP or Tivimate or another program that accesses m3u not their crudely created apps.
Yeah, very disappointed with their decision. My renewal was up this month after really good 6 months and after the way they had weathered the XC storm, I was sold on their service but will now have to rethink it. I currently have Hydrogen and twistedtv and both are slowly coming back and so far it looks like they are keeping m3u.

I suppose he could have been a little more transparent but there wasn't much to tell.
With just a little googling and searching it looks like prime streams is looking at adding m3u access. Still no eta but looks like it will be eventually added.
I'll be leaving jarvis as well. I like tivimate too much to toss it aside. Hey tivimate creator-start an IPTV service please.
No Kodi addon going forward either. Most my devices are Libreelec. Tested the new app on a Firestick and it's pretty bad.

No... The new platform does not currently support m3u. All I can honestly say about the m3u situation is it may or may not change. There is nothing to read into that... There is no eta... It may be never.
I have been nothing but honest and transparent with you at all times and this time is no different. This lovely community has come together to become the best and most helpful communities I've ever been a part of. I need you guys now more then ever to come together as a community and help each other try to adapt to the changes.
I understand that I may may lose some of you to the lack of m3u and I hate to lose you... But this new platform has other features that we feel are in the best interest of the majority and of the service!

I am really pissed about this. My Z8 is basically useless on this app, as I can no longer use mytvonline2. Can't scroll through channels quickly on the app with my remote, hard to change groups... the whole user experience is just a downgrade. Picture quality is still great, but if I can't navigate it in a user friendly way, what's the point? I still have 4 months left on my six month subscription, but I'm going to look for an alternate, and just consider my unused Jarvis subscription as a loss, I guess this happens in the IPTV world.

do a quick calculation (126K x month costs $ ) to understand how much a new smart provider can earn for this shitty decision.

If you need an M3u then dont use them.. If you want quality screens that are reliable and rarely have issue.. and I will add great customer service.. then stay with them.. How great that we have a choice in this world
