Being rock solid right now is the key . So many services are dropping going black occasionally and for someo it is the only form of tv they now have. Keep to 150 channels that work pernamently and offer the vod would be nice/ sport bt sky 3pm ppv .
Having a private service that can offer the basic at a competitive price .
Don't be greedy relate it to cost of what your paying and keep small loyal base of customers that you keep informed when there are problems
Staying small will stop the big boys from trying to turn you off and adding that personal customer touch is where business here will shine.
Hit me up for advice
I believe the services try to do too much, i.e. 1000s of channels. I would focus on a specific market whether that is the USA, UK, Canada, Bangladesh or wherever. For the US market, forget trying to get all the locals, maybe have 2-3 markets from each timezone and be done. If people want their locals then use an antenna, or visit the channel's website for whatever local show they are missing. If the website doesn't have it, then live without it.
Focus on the top 150 or so channels, get them rock solid before adding new channels on occasion. Live sports/PPV should be an emphasis for stability as I believe that is a big part of the iptv market. I would also work on a good 3-4 day catchup for the top 50 or so channels. I think that would satisfy the vast majority of customers.
What do you mean by starting you own IPTV? You need to be more specific. Looking to partner with you on this.
Starting your own? Or rebrand an existing service?
