Difference between the words "trial" and "trail"

by satvision83

This post is for all of those who doesn't make difference between the words "trial" and "trail"!

The word "trial" have couple of meanings, but this subreddit is for IPTV technology, so in this case it has only one meaning: a test of performance and qualities of the provided service.

The word "trail" means a long thin part of line, mark or series of signs...etc, but NOT testing any service !

We can see every day many posts with "trail", instead of "trial".

I know that the English language is not mother tongue to some of you (mine neither) but seriously, people, learn the difference and do not write that ridiculous word (trail) here in the IPTV section!

I always put trail

It drives some people mad.

I was hoping that someone would leave those people a trail to another website than reddit.

Nothing. trail is just a typo of trial

dub_starr

someone told me once that people say trail because if its in the text of a webpage, google wont return it on a search of "Free Trials"

flynreelow

almost as bad as lose and loose

Sometimes I like to trial a trail just to see if its any good, much easier than a trail of a trial.

I know that "the" English language. Sort your own grammar out before having a go at others.
