SmartIPTV on Firestick

Not super tech savvy here,but I've been using SmartIPTV on a firestick to view non us channels was working great for months, all of the sudden it stopped and was getting Playlist error, connected to my phone Hotspot and boom it worked looks like the firestick is blocked by my ISP, took it to my friend house end boom it worked sounds like a block is in effect.

How do I unblock? Would getting a new modem help? I'm guessing the device ( firestick) is blocked by its Mac address?

Just use VPN on the firestick?

Could be your ISP has some built in free security that is blocking the site your IPTV comes from.... In the UK companies have this in place and it is good for blocking malicious sites loading but blocks sites yoi might want to use

I'm using Torguard Vpn on my Firestick. Work like a charm. You can download the app from the Amazon app store. There is also available an app for Nord Vpn. Depends on what you prefer.

Go to your internet router settings and then go to web safe then allowed sites or no allowed sites Firestick server where you connected to for channels your provider allowed this site in your router settings like http//:sever what ever is job done

Could be a smart filter or whatever they call it they put on the ISP routers these days. Just log into your router and knock it off, or some actually have it on your Internet account page these days.

If it was an ISP block perhaps you'd expect to see it on all the channels (maybe)!? So hopefully you won't need a VPN.

using same crowd. isp is vodafone ireland. seems they are now blocking it during league matches as it works fine until 3pm etc. then all channels connecting connecting.. would a vpn actually work?

No speed issues at all while using vpn. At least with Torguard, and I have 3 years now since I've started using their services.
