If you don’t have the money for a Shield, the 4K Firestick is an excellent purchase.

If you have the money, the best device is the Nvidia Shield which uses Android TV.

If your interest is just to watch IPTV, then a Shield is total overkill and not the best experience! Sure, it's rock solid and lightening fast at everything it does, but if you just want to have the best IPTV experience, buy something that is specifically designed to do live TV! Something that has a full remote and dedicated software for a TV experience. Not some trashy Android app that mimicks a proper TV experience.

If you aren't very tech savvy, buy a Formuler, Buzz or Mag box. They will be the easiest to set up and will give you a true cable TV like experience. If you can handle the techie nature of it, get yourself an Enigma2 box and truly enjoy your IPTV!

I have both an Nvidia Shield and a Formuler z8 and the z8 is by far the best device for IPTV. Having said that, the z8 sucks for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube.

The subreddit is biased towards the shield presently. It’s all about your preferences. Dedicated iptv boxes such as mag or dreamlink are excellent options, however they are solely just for iptv, you can’t really do much else with them. A purchase such as a shield or fire stick as suggested allows you to do iptv as well as other apps such as Netflix and such. My personal opinion is that a dedicated box that just does iptv gives you better quality and less buffer, however you cannot do anything else, which does suck. However I have a shield tv and a t2 dreamlink and I watch iptv on my dreamlink then do everything else on my shield. Just my two cents.

I have iptv setup on my Shield and Dreamlink T2. If it’s just iptv I’m watching I will always go to the dreamlink. The remote is just like a cable fox with fast forward skip unlike the shield. Shield far better for Netflix and YouTube

I would go with Formuler Z8, you wont regret it. Its GUI is like cable/Satellite box.

If you are looking to stay under $100.....Firestick 4k. If over $100 is no big deal, Nvidia Shield. I have being using both. Shield is faster and all around better experience IMO. But I have no complaints about the 4k Sticks. They work great.

Firestick 4K with TiviMate is all you need for a great IPTV experience (if you have adequate download speeds).

The TiviMate app has settings that will automatically play when you power up your device (or return from sleep mode) and automatically play the last channel watched. Just like turning on your TV with a cable provider.
