Wanna purchase Nvidia shield but....

by rockyourred

Hey everyone. Looking to upgrade from 2nd gen firestick. Posting here cuz it's basically for iptv. I know through reading through these subreddits that shield is the way to go. Happy with stick but my main downfall is being to be able to record iptv. Does shield let you do that easily? Nvidia shield users comment please! Thanks in advance

I would hold out in purchasing a nvidia shield because the newest iteration is called nvidia shield pro is due to come out soon. So probably wait till that comes out then the price would drop for the old nvidia shield.

You are able to connect external storage to the shield and recording iptv is possible depending on the iptv app you are using.

It will record but you will need to add external storage and use IPTV software like iMplayer.

If you want to record TV as you watch it then yes, you can do that with just about any Android TV box. You'll need external storage. If you want a PVR setup where you can record any series and shows while you're not home you're going to have a hard time. I've tinkered with pretty much every possible PVR solution for IPTV, I was thinking about sharing what I've found if there is interest.

serious question, why do u wanna record? Why not use apps like Cyberflix/cinema hd. If you already going the iptv route, might as well have the perfect combo.
