Android phone vs mi box quality differences?

I'm testing a sub on an Android phone and also on mi box. Using iptv smarters pro on both.

On the phone quality and smoothness are really great. On the TV screen it's mediocre at best. Is it just function of the screen size or is there anything else?

The mibox is quite slow.

even a sd stream on a phone may look great.the bigger the screen the worse it will look just fact.thats why viewing a 32inch tv will 90% of the time look far better than lets say 55 inch
