on the right track?

by redw000d

hope this is proper place to post this. so, tell me if I have this right? or not... Kodi, with Addons, best with rd or pm, is for, movies and Previous tv shows... Plex/shares is for getting movies and tv from someONE hosting such files... IPTV is for Live tv, not for on demand or catchup? so, one might need Kodi or Plex, and IPTV to replace the cable experience? thanks

Hello:

IPTV basically is streaming live TV over the internet.

Kodi is a media manager that accepts plugins to expand its use. This includes IPTV. It runs on top of an operating system.

Plex is like Kodi.

You do not need Kodi to setup live tv. You can use an application like Smarters Pro or others that are stand a lone running on an operating system. Example would be an Android Box.

I run Smarters on my anroid box and everything runs great. I could install Kodi or Plex but I do not need a multi media manager for what I am doing.

If you want to replace the cable experience then get a decent android box or similar device, A program like Smarters - There are many.

Just invest in a good VPN. I have used PIA for a vpn for quite a few years now and find them excellent.

Im sure others here will provide more opinions and experiences ;)

Just get a good iptv subscription. They have movies, tv, series catchup. Use an app like the other guy said. You won't need your kodi addons anymore.
