What’s your favorite IPTV client for ease of use and digital cable-like UX design inspiration mind?

by Nigel-Powers

I’m looking for a great client that is usable across Android TV, iOS, Fire TV, Windows, and Roku (if possible) with an interface that’s easy enough that my grandmother could use it. Is such a good client out there? I’m willing to pay a little money per device need be if the support is great and the client won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. Thanks!

My vote is TiviMate, hands down. It is still having features added, and at this point there are only a few that I would say are "missing" but otherwise it absolutely gives you the experience you would expect from a TV app.

My ranking order as follows

  1. ImPlayer
  2. Perfect Player (parents use this, aged 69 & 67)
  3. Tivimate
  4. LQT
  5. OTT Navigator
  6. IPTV Smarters
  7. XCIPTV
  8. STB

Start at the top and work your way down and you'll find one you like the most.

Perfect player. You can turn on the start on boot option. I use it for my parent’s. then it’s simple they just press the ok button and select channel. You can even turn on the option to play last channel on start.

Xciptv for phone.. Tivimate for TV.. That smarters the interface isn't nice at all how is it so popular

IPTV? Not really sure. I've used Gears/Mayfair, Smarters, and Tivimate. To me they aren't bad. Gears probably being the easiest. But not something I'd expect my grandmother to understand or figure out. For that I'd put her on Sling.
