Faster does not necessarily mean better.
Modern day processors and the amount of RAM shipped in Android boxes is more than capable for IPTV streams.
What app would you guys recommend then? I seem to experience buffering issues with all I’ve tried except on the MAG box.
Personally I’ve tried multiple services on IOS, Android, and Linux, using Apple TV, Shield, and MAG. I’ve found the The Linux on the MAG worked the best, smoothest, no buffering, fast channel switching. Also found that the service absolutely makes a difference. Resellers are usually pretty good with offering trials, so I’d say grab a MAG box with Linus operating system and try out at least 5 services and you will find one that works well. I’ll be picking up a second MAG box soon myself. Not sure about other Linux boxes..
This will not change anything to IPTV quality ... Perhaps it will be even worse because there is no linux drivers for hardware decoders for most android stbs or
arm chipset so the result can be also very bad with a lot of aliasing. of the video image.
Personnaly I would not recommend ...
