VPN, and iptv

by Smoke24X

Ok so everyone says to use a vpn, when I do my speeds goes from 425mbs to like 60mbs, and then I still buffer here and there. Would like to know which iptv services are great, reliable from everyday users. Now about the VPN does anyone have a setup they can share to stop the buffering? Am in ohio or why it's my speed dropping so much with the vpn.

VPN will slow your connection due to it needing to encrypt everything. Depending on device, 60mbps sounds reasonable.

VPN speed is directly related to the hardware you're using. My core i5 can do 300-400mbps out of the 600mbps available. My firestick 4k can only do 60mbps on a good day. My Sony TV can do 150mbps on a good day.

All settings the same aes 128bit gcm connected to the same server using speedtest.net

Have you tried express vpn?

Get a cheap VPS with no caps and run your own VPN.

Who is your ISP? That also helps figure out if they are messing with your traffic. Putting on my tinfoil hat

Unless you pay for a high quality VPN service, speeds always drop and greatly fluctuate. For baseline, regular vpns, a little buffering here and there is to be expected. Depending on your VPN, I would experiment with different servers in the region you're connecting to.

Yes.

Sorry but what's vps?

Smoke24X

I understand that it slows down your speed, but it shouldn't be like 80% off it.

I used NordVPN and my speeds don’t suffer at all.

I have a 1Gbit fiber connection though.
