Not sure if this is the right spot but I am paying for a subscription for my deaf parents that uses soplayer app on a FireStick and allows for live tv streaming for thousands of channels. Is there anyway that subtitles can work with this? Subtitles are turned on on the tv, the soplayer app and the programmed FireStick. I’d hate to get them something that they can’t really use or enjoy. Thanks for any and all help.
There are other apps like Tivimate on android. I don't think it's available on the app store you have to download the APK. You add the M3U URL and it plays IPTV. Within the settings you can specify to always turn on CC. This is highly dependant on if the channel has sub titles. But most of the main popular channels do for US TV.
