I don’t wanna spend the $200 on a nvidia shield, which I know is the best..... so my question is what’s next best? I have an amazon fire tv box which works great in my bedroom but I want a great living room machine... I’ve been interested recently in a dreamlink T3 box, but not exactly tech savvy and am not sure what to buy..... any info would be appreciated!
Have 2 Z8 formuler's best streaming device you'll find. Dreamlink is also made by the same company. Can't go wrong with either one. Pricey but the best devices I've ever seen.
Formuler boxes can set you back at least £100 or more, if you're going for that you're better off getting a shield for £150 and using tivimate or implayer(similar to mytvonline). However solely for IPTV I'd even have to recommend a formuler but on a budget you can grab a firestick 4k that does what the shield does albeit with less power. A

Thanks for all the input everybody, I think I’ve been swayed into getting Formuler Z8 box. $139 on amazon, not bad at all. Doubt I’ll be disappointed.
Nvidia Shield is not necessarily the best.. depends on your needs really. For solely IPTV watching or a cable-box like experience the Shield is not the best.. however if you want an allround machine the Shield comes very close to being the best I think.
Anyways I own both a Formuler Z8 and an Amiko A5M, both dedicated IPTV boxes (but with Android so easily extended with apps), and I can very much recommend the Formuler Z8. For IPTV its dedicated Mytvonline2 app is nearly perfect, with the added bonus that it gets updated regularly, and gives a very nice and user-friendly TV watching experience.
I just purchased a Dreamlink T3 and love it. Just tried it with Tivimate and works great.
Where iMplayer can be downloaded, I don't see it on play store.

Are these boxes better in the way of allowing more bandwidth through? I’ve got a Firestick 4K and 100 gig download speed but still get buffering at times. Do these boxes do a better job to cut down on the buffering?

You're paying a premium for the Z8 for MOL2 which has been emulated and sold as iMplayer for $6, the hardware it self is junk and overpriced.

The Z8 is ranked 43 - on a budget get a Firestick 4k or a Mibox S and forget about Roku, MAG boxes, Apple and the Z8.

What The formular box had going for them was the guide for iptv, the fact implayer has now been released and has a very similar interface but has alot more customisation options makes the z8 pretty redundent, personally have a shield and 4k firestick, the shield hardware wise cant be touched by any other iptv box/stick, mine is used for overkill as i only used it for streaming but the 4k stick is more than capable as a stand alone device
