Recently got a prepaid MasterCard. Loaded it up onto an anonymous PayPal account but when i go to pay a contact an error message occurs.
Is PayPal the best way to pay for services with a prepaid card or do some sellers accept the prepaid card on its own? If so, which recommended sellers offer this payment option?

The prepaid card probably doesn't have 3D Secure / Verified by Visa support, a lot of merchant checkouts need to verify the card billing address as part of their security checks which of course you can't do with a prepaid card, so the transaction fails, which is perhaps why it's giving an error. It's probably different in the U.S but certainly it's a big problem in the UK and I suspect Europe as well thanks to strict financial regulations. I suspect if it won't work on PayPal it won't work direct on most online checkouts either.
In Canada, you need to assign the card a valid postal code for it to be able to be used online. Check the card provider's website for an option like that.
Anonymous, prepaid, Europe = those not possible in Europe.
What is the error?
