No Buffering on Web Player, but seriously lagging on Firestick. Help Please

by jnospy

Hi,

I have been using Nitro TV as my main service on my Firestick with Prime streams as back up for close to a year now with no major issues.

In the past month or so however, both have been experiencing major buffering issues and i'm not quite sure what the problem is. Initially I thought that the issue might be with the iptv provider but when using the iptv web player on my laptop there isn't any buffering.

I've done a speed test on the firestick and get speeds of 25 Mbps. I've also cleared up space and cleared cache as seen on other posts.

I'm not quite sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Try swapping from 2.4Ghz Wifi to 5Ghz WiFi (if possible) or vice versa. I’ve had this issue on a Firestick in the past.

Is your laptop on wifi?

Are they both on the same wifi network? no bridging?

Have you ever 'restarted' the firestick? This often corrects issues that I'm experiencing.

My reseller provides cloned/hacked versions of many of the available app players used in IPTV, so I dont know what you're using vs what I'm using. But I've had a similar issue lately. My app of choice has the option to use the built in media player or attach a third party player. Once I switched to VLC as the default player many of my buffering issue cleared up. Also someone mentioned the 2.4/5g thing. If you are close to your router use 5g if you are further away then use 2.4g network. 5g has a faster rate, but cannot penetrate walls very well. So for every wall between u and your stick will have significant loss. Further more if your fire stick is connected to the 5g network and is separated by multiple walls dont just switch to the 2.4 network also tell the device to forget the 5g network. Also goto settings and disable network password sharing.

Firesticks are trash and I have the same issue. I use android boxes, laptops, desktops, tablets, phones all on WiFi to stream Nitro with no problems. Firestick will occasionally buffer with one of my IPTV services but Nitro constantly buffers. The only apps that don’t seem to really ever have an issue are Netflix, Hulu. Keep trying the usual and even switch to 5G WiFi if you’re able. You may want to even try getting the Ethernet adapter for your stick and hardline it
