Noob Questions. M3u's & Xm3

by noodle9

Just trying to get the hang of all this - appreciate some help. I've tried a few and now have an iptv service I'm reasonably happy with - it has its own app but I don't like it much.

Previously I had used Xm3 so I wanted to try it with this one. So I got the m3u of the new service and tried adding it to xm3 using https://xtream-editor.com/ . Not sure why but I could only see one category of channels for some reason, the rest were not there.

I tired adding it again it said I can only have 2 m3u's - I still have one from a previous trial that is still active so I don't want to delete it.

Is Extream editor the only one? It says my trial is ended and I need to subscribe, but the website says there is a free version I'm not sure. I don't want to pay unless I know.

Any other apps that let you navigate between channels with left and right? Tried Tivimate, Smarters and a few others but so far I still like Xm3 best - but the fact it doesn't let you hide categories and channels bugs the hell out of me!

Use notepad++ edit the .m3u file remove the countrys you dont want done. If its to hard i will try to make a program that edits the playlist for you.

The free version is limited to 25 channels.

Their are a few editors out there.

Another option that works well is xTeVe. While it's primary purpose is to emulate a hdhomerun to allow IPTV to be used in Plex, it has a very robust m3u editor and it's free. The only downside I can think is that you have to install it on a computer and keep it running. I use it both for feeding IPTV to Plex and editing my m3u.

Just buy the subscription it really is worth every penny.. Then create an api line hiding and changing all the categories at your hearts content and link it to x3m player
