I have IPTV service that all my friends have (different boxes) and are very happy with it. Live channels are pretty decent and all in high quality but my issue is the VOD section. Both movies and tv shows are all in one section and most of them are in a much lower quality than they should be. Even the ones that you can find on Netflix are in about 480p if I could guess it since there isn’t a way where you can find/change the picture quality. Anyone else faced or is facing the same issue?
I avoid watching VOD on my Z7+ if I can. I love it for IPTV, but they just don't do VOD brilliantly on any service. I use a 4K firestick & plex for my VOD, and it's a much better experience.
Netflix is always in SD unless it is a google licensed device. Firestick or MiBox would be the cheapest licensed devices (also supports disney+). The other thing is, the provider could simply be streaming the videos at a low quality to save bandwidth. I would recommend downloading Windows IPTV Player 3.0.0.0 and when you are viewing a stream it will show you the quality of it.
This is most likely a problem with the quality of that specific provider's VOD. I have used VOD through MTOL on the Z7+ and there were no specific issues regarding quality which wasn't present through using a different app.
You could try clicking "Resolution" on your Z7+ remote to ensure you have it set to the highest setting.
