I turned catchup on auto in tivimate app and all channels now display catchup symbol but it doesnt seem to work. Could my provider just not offer this?

Yes.
Catchup is recorded to your providers server it has nothing to do with Tivimate.
Catchup seems not a good deal to providers , most of them do not have it and who does just offer few channels . i use iptv007 they do have catchup but very few options , when i emailed them i got this reply :
Note : some of them are not there anymore, this ticket is 2 months old

Nobody offers it anymore. Helix used to have a beast of a catchup and that's why I stuck with them but that's all gone. Blame the cunts who make a living fucking all of us over in favor of billionaires who rip people off.
A lot of providers do not wanna offer it lol
