Roku apps

What do roku users use for iptv app wise? I have a shield setup that's obviously working fine but using a roku in another room I can't find any apps to use, I've tried emby/plex but can't find a way to add? Would I have to use my shield as a server in plex/emby to get round it?

AFAIK, the only way with a Roku is to use the xteve addon with Plex (but requires a Plex Pass).

Not sure about the server part, though.

Ministra player will give you access there are some hoops and issues but it works
