IPTV plays smoothly on mobile but buffers on PC?

Whenever I stream channels on my phone it is extremely smooth without any buffering but when I try using the same m3u link on my laptop it buffers constantly, even on VLC player. I tried changing the network caching settings but it didn't solve the issue.

Both devices are on the same 5G internet connection and it's not like I have a crappy outdated laptop so I'm not sure what could be causing it.

At this point I've resorted to mirroring my phone screen to my laptop but it's not really optimal in terms of quality.

I'd appreciate any tips on solving this issue!

EDIT: The issue seems to be my IPTV service as I tried streaming on VLC with a different provider and my buffering problem was resolved.

You haven’t mentioned if it’s an old laptop or new. It really comes down to hardware, phones are really powerful these days that’s why many don’t cost less than £500 and are capable of handling streams well

Check and see if your provide uses a web player. Go to the windows store and download my IPTV player and see if it works there.

You don't need a powerful PC for an IPTV , as all are low bit rate stream, for ruling out speed problem try with ethernet cable.

It could be so many different things with the computer .... Malware etc. You could restore your PC and see how that goes

Use a VPN. Your isp at home is probably screwing with you and trying to traffic shape your iptv traffic. They do this to me for some iptv providers. VPN solves this.

Maybe your ISP is throttling to your pc. Have you tried using a vpn to test to see if buffering improved with the vpn on?

old hard drives in computers can cause this ..

also if computer is checking for updates or other programs are checking for updates in background.
