Replace remote for Android IPTV box

I have a Android TV box which I purchased from Bol Tv service few years ago and right now the remote is not working anymore. I cannot tell the model of this box because it does not show anywhere. I just have a SN which does not provide any info when I search online.

I bought a generic android box remote control from Amazon as a replacement, but it is also not working. I can see the light blinking on the new remote but not doing anything else. It didn't come with any instructions. I am using a wireless mouse for the STB Emu app and it is highly annoying.

Does anyone know if I need to program the new remote in a certain way to make it work? Or a generic remote control to work for this box? Thanks.

Remote may not be compatible.

Try a mini keyboard or a airmouse

Yep mini keyboard, comes with a usb dongle you just plug into your box and it works perfect. That’s what I’ve been using for awhile now, however I can’t power the box on or off with it, still have to use original remote that came with it for that.

I'd recommend the Rii i8 wireless keyboard and mouse.

These have the USB receiver in a little slot in the back of the remote just plug this USB chip into your device of choice and away you go.

It will improve your experience with STB Emu a lot.

I have 3 different android boxes from 3 different companies and all their remotes work on the other boxes.

Just go buy an Amazon firestick 4k . For the money u will spend on remotes ect u myswell just do that ..makes more sence

Use the remote app on your Android phone if you have one in the meantime!

I use the generic android box remote that looks like a game pad /keyboard with track pad in the centre. Comes with its own USB receiver, works fine. Actually u will get the best of all worlds, and it's really cheap.
