Hello,
I'm currently using StreamsForUs and their default player is "JW Player". It seams to work well enough on my Firestick and web stream, but I'm curious if there are benefits in using other players?
Thanks, and Happy New Year!

There are several good open source players. You could just try them out and see for yourself.
Agree Best player on the Market is Tivi Mate 5 bucks yearly 5 devices. Totally worth it.
Vlc player is about the best. I find the picture is smoother. I also use HW decoder.
I like tivimate. Just need an m3u and epg link. Works well for $5 a year.
Needs a couple things though. A program reminder and the ability to stretch the screen for channels like LAFF that don't fit.
Aside from that. It's a pretty damn slick layout and it gets updated pretty frequently with customer requests. There's a tivimate area is Reddit.
Xciptv, Ott Navigator IPTV, Tivimate, OttPlay Iptv, IPTV Extreme, Gse Smart IPTV, Perfect Player, ProgTV. They all work great and support m3u playlist and XC.
Also iMPlayer pretty good also
iMPlayer. BUZZ TV player. Mayfair TV Guide player. All next level.
Crowd sourcing at it's finest. Now I got new shit to check out. And, so do you. Hell yeah!
That's what it's all about.
Is it possible to download the JW player for firestick? I can’t find the apk, the one I found says app is no longer available, the app downloads but doesn’t let you use it
Perfect player is excellent
Sorry, but nothing beats tivimate. Search function, 2q days catchup if your provider supports it, multiscreen is a dream, especially compared to other apps, full editting ability including groups, makes, order of channels, etc, ability to save playlist and slap it on another device, handy when you have 2 or more connections and don't want to set up 150-200 favourite channels more than once, and tons more. For 7 bucks or so a year, best investment I've made with regards to iptv. Works perfectly on fs4k, always my go to.ultiple playlists, multiple tv guide sources allowed, etc etc. Try tivimate, 5 day trial, you'll never look back
