I wasn't sure where else to post this so gonna ask here.
The title says it all. Looking for reasonably sized, reasonably priced domestic-case use equipment, something of a feature-rich DAC (digital-to-analog converter). Basically to emulate an analog TV provider, i.e. broadcast multiple channels on multiple frequencies through a single coax cable (preferrably PAL/NTSC).
Ideally it has to somehow connect to a PC (and the connection probably needs to go through a relatively fast port, like PCI-E or USB3.0), obtain all the necessary content there, convert it from digital to analog, and finally send it to the analog output for direct TV consumption.
Is there anything out there? No illegal activity is planned with this, strictly for personal use. Thanks!
what are you trying to accomplish?
Mainly if you are trying to use only domestic equipment your project would be too difficult to implement but not impossible, albeit you can use some second hand CATV / CCTV equipment.
On the other hand the type of device that you are asking is only professional grade, like this one:

Which is employed on some odd testing or even, Samsung employs this gadget inside a device called REACH server in order to inject channels (they seem to add up to 4 channels) and they can control a special kind of TV

Also have you think of this kind of device?

This may be useful on your purposes but the video signal may be limited to analogue NTSC...
