I hear lots of positive feedback for TiviMate, however, unfortunately, it lacks PVR feature (a must for me), what other alternatives are there that have PVR and EPG?

I think GSE allows you to record if you use their inbuilt delta player...
iptv extreme free app on android allows preset timer recording of shows.
iptv smarters also allows recording but it's manual recording and not on a timer so you got to be there to press record and how many minutes.
I use PVR Live
