I am subscribed a few providers I think are based in Canada or US, and thier service is good but channels take a while to load, is it just because I'm based in UK and thier servers are in USA? Is there any way to fix this?

It mostly depends on the iptv provider and how good their servers are,,, I’ve had providers that have channels load up fast, like 1 second and others load up longer and then buffer , lol
Yea, it’s a hit and miss with iptv providers, Unfortunately it will never be as stable as regular cable or satellite services ,
Distance from the server can matter too
I was facing the same issue , i contacted my provider in my case iptv007 and they suggested to remove countries that i usually do not watch , and that fixed the issue , the channels are now loading fast , so try to remove some channels . ask your provider to do that.
Check the buffer settings in your box. A 5 second buffer means that it will grab this much video ahead of time before you see a picture.
Depending on the channel it could be set to on demand activation so it doesnt have a constant feed. Only when someone wants to watch it.
Change your rendering.

What format are the streams? Generally.ts load faster.
Have you tried switching viewers? You should have that option in your app settings
