How to run multiple IPTV (m3u) on Kodi?

by stwinn

Hi,

I want to test out multiple IPTV services and eventually get down to 2 services to keep full time.

Currently, I use IPTV Simple Client on Kodi which can only take 1 m3u link.

I don't want to combine the different m3u's into one guide (too many channels and harder to test).

Can I run more than one instance of IPTV Simple Client? Or What other m3u client works with Kodi (I want to be able to use the Kodi Channel Guide if possible as it is awesome)?

Thanks!

IPTV runs much better in stand alone apps, especially if providers have many channels.

Use Xteve to merge the 3 services.

In Xteve, add a prefix (e.g. P1_, P2_, P3_) to the categorynames per provider.
Add EPG and point Kodi to the Xteve output.

In Kodi you'll have the categories sorted by Provider/original category

You can run multiple m3u using this. Just have each playlist as a different category

Probably not the best solution but I run xteve. I use it to filter my list to only contain chans I want and only dupes for important ones.

Merge the lists that's it

You get much better experience with /r/TiviMate rather than with Kodi.

You can use kodi add-on Playlist Loader
