if iptv was such a reliable thing - why are there so few consistent favorites - instead of thousands of wannabees?

by stonecats

following iptv on reddit is hilarious. the same few hundred ponzi scammers, recycling variations of the same few hundred iptv names, reselling variations on the same dying channel lists they hope you will prepay for longer than they hold out.

why do you all let them all get away with this bullshit?

another thing i don't understand... if one iptv emerged as a short term favorite, then shouldn't it's popularity bring it's price DOWN, not provoke them to collect a premium? it seems like the moment one seems good it shoots up to $10-$20/mo.

it's like the scammers know this can't last, so cash grab as much as they can before it inevitably fails.

I’ve honestly never heard the word “reliable” used to describe iptv.

Have you had some bad experiences? I think there are definitely a handful of big players...but yeah I'm sure there are a lot of scammers... Nature of the business.

Reliability is relative... Personally I'd rather pay $10 a month with a handful of brief outages, than pay $200 a month for 100% reliability.

The very nature of IPTV is scammy. You just gotta find some that are less scammy than others. And more than $10 a month is a ripoff considering the sources are almost always the same.

For $10 you get what a cable service would charge you $300 a month for. This thread is ignorant to the extreme. Enjoy paying $200 to $300 for your cable while we make it work, better, on more devices with more HD and FHD channels and ALL premium movie channel families (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Sky Movies) and sports packages (NFL, NHL, NBA, College Football, Euro Soccer), for $10 to $20.

Get a main provider for $10 and a backup for $5 and when one gives you trouble you have another one to go to. Ask yourself this, dude. If for the $10 a month we pay per month we would get nothing but crap why would we do it? Oh, yeah, you did ask that nonsensical question, actually. Most of us have good working IPTV and are smart enough to add a backup provider, that's why we "let them all get away with this." You would understand if you actually tried IPTV.

i for one appreciate all you scammy iptv bastards. it’s one of the greatest bang for buck products in my life.

Nothing beats the low, low price of 10 cents per month per 10 channels. Cable company could advertise 10 channels for a penny, but they'd have to add fine print saying "For the first 2 months of a 2 year contract. Taxes, surcharges and equipment fees of $120 a month not included". Want real entertainment? Check out the cordcutters sub and the people complaining about the DRM media they "owned" spontaneously deactivating itself.

gjoe1974

Why would popularity bring the price down? Supply and demand dictates that prices rise, the greater the demand.

basjke

Why you even started the topic, since your answer is in the sticky at the top of this sub.

You're paying likely somewhere between $12-$15 a month for your service. These providers don't have a call center, a team of dedicated professionals taking shifts, and the most expensive equipment and technology out there like the cable providers do.

AyeeMaryJayyyy

Scammy yes but you just have to know where to look I pay 12 bucks a month and I get like 2000 channels movies on demand recording Ppv sports and the cinema channels with the movies that are still in the dollar theaters

rclonecopymove

What's the alternative? We live in an interconnected world and there is no legal means to get access to channels from across the globe. A few companies have tied everything up and made it prohibitively expensive to enjoy some sports. The loss of service is just a fact of life given it's nature but I have never felt ripped off given the cost is so little.

Iv had it for years And it’s perfect

When your service goes to shit just move services

gjoe1974

Iptv services have gotten better though. I became a cord cutter in April 2017 and the 2.5 years since, i have cheap services today that are more stable than the services just a few years ago that were more expensive.

Yayo100

Find a good one and stick with them until the very end don't matter if you pay $5 and month or $24 a month...you will still save way more money compared to paying for Cable Packages

dannyaperez

I’ve been cable free for over 4 years now on my 3rd iptv service and I’m loving it. Live tv, sports and PPV all in great quality

AyeeMaryJayyyy

Yeah dm
