Really? The IPTV service I have has YouTube and video on demand. Why would I need that?
Kodi is so much more than a simple media player. For a start, It can find other devices on my home network and play or send files. The file manager built into kodi, allows me to move files, not just media, from a thumb drive to my NAS drive. And paired with pvr simple and Kore. It's a fantastic all in 1. On my raspberry pi. Plus, iptv providers come n go. Kodi hasn't failed me yet.
Some providers block kodi, on m3u. It might be down to the "user agent"
Best thing to do, is open your m3u. Take one of the feeds and add |User-Agent=VLC
This should trick the providers server, into thinking its "not" kodi.
