I’m using tivimate with my IPTV but the EPG guide goes down a lot. All channels say no info. I don’t know if this is common with all IPTV services or not but I was wondering it there is a better guide I could use with my service?

It isn't tivimate, it's the service that you put on tivimate. Its draws EPG from the service
I like my IPTV service and they have the link to put on to tivimate for their guide but it seems like their guide is out once or twice a week for a few hours each time so I was just curious of I could download my own epg guide so I would have that problem
If you‘re willing to pay then you can use Xeev Editor and assign independent EPG to your channels.
It's your IPTV service not tivimate.
I use iptv-epg.com. It's a pay for service, but they support over 8000 channels, including most regional channels. I've been using them for a couple of years now and don't remember the last time I had guide issues!
After you sign up, you plug in your M3U link from your provider and it will map most of your channels automatically to their guide. There is a little work you need to do, to make sure all your channels are properly mapped. But you can customize your lineup too by combining channels, setting up custom groups, hiding channels/groups, etc. And once it's all set up, they will give you a custom M3U link and XML link that you configure in your client of choice (I use TiViMate) and that's all there is to it! Once it's done, it's mostly hands off and just works! Plus, it will monitor your provider for any changes they make and will notify you to go and review them... It's a pretty great service.
I was looking for a guide for over a year and stumbled on tvmate last month and in my opinion its the best and fastest out there. Usually, whatever IPTV you have will be mirrored to tvmate. If your IPTV does not have the epg info then it will flow the same way to tvmate. You can try ProgTv which I used it for about a year as well before tvmate. Its pretty good and you can record as well. Its not as user friendly as tvmate. Lastly, befor you launch tvmate and if you can go to your IPTV and refresh channels and guide.
mainly depends on app, use login basis rather than m3u and epg input
I suggest to use https://www.xml-tv.com/ epg. It is a really good service.
If you want to assign epg you can give a shot to IPTVEditor.com . (in that case I can't say anything because I am the dev)
I suggest you to check those providers out! They are supportive and helpfull with those problems. I’m very happy with their service to.
Try m3u4u.com - you can import and edit your IPTV bouquets and they’ve got a free EPG
