Help w/ EPG

by komobu

Has anyone had any success in getting the EPG to work with iMPlayer or Tivimate? I like the apps, but I want an epg.

I use the yearly paid version of xtream editor and copy and paste their links for the playlist and the epg. I get the guide with a third player I have installed using the same links, but I really like implayer and tivimate.

iMPlayer even tells me it is loading the tv data and doesnt show any errors. After a few seconds I get a message that pops up saying "TV Guide finished loading " Then when I check, every show is labeled "No Information"...Even ABC.

Any ideas what I could try to get it to work?

OK, I finally got it working in both. When you fill out the API line in Xtreme-editor, the 8th line asks for the EPG url. I provided it from my iptv provider. If you provide a url in that line, that is telling xtreme editor you want to use a different epg and not the one from xtreme-editor. So if you want to use the one from xtreme-editor, leave it blank. I deleted that line and now all is good.

Thanks again for the help

I know a lot of iMplayers users are using this free editor https://m3u4u.com also they have EPG. The iMplayer developer has done some tweaks to work with them! They have a Discord server if you need help: https://m3u4u.com/discord

Yes, I use it with Tivimate with xtream editor and it works fine. Did you verify the EPG-ID assignment for each channel in xtream editor? Are you using your IPTV provider EPG? Are you getting any guide at all on any channel?
