My MAG254 just stopped working. Apparently the HDMI port no longer outputs audio. So I have to replace it. Is either of these really better than the other for pure performance if we ignore features?
I don't use WiFi only ethernet and I don't have any need for 4K streaming from my provider. The ability to pick up OTA channels would be cool but apart from that I JUST get 1080 and less streams of TV.
So beyond those first features, are they essentially the same?

The 324 has more ram 1 gb vs 512 mb memory. Similar to the mag 256 which also has 1 gb memory.

Clearly I need to reiterate, that I have a provider and don't need anything other than to connect to that. No apps, no HTPC content, nothing. Just a feed I use my MAC address to access.
Save your money and buy the 3221w1
What difference do you need to see?
Have to ask, tried swapping hdmi cables? Done a factory restore? Just on the off chance the hdmi port is fine.
You should look into formuler or buzz tv boxes with buzztv you have an advantage to change the mac if for any reason your reseller refuses to release your mac.
