Questions on IPTV

by MrRightSA

I've been trialling IPTV services and I have a few questions;

  1. Tried about 5 from AliExpress and they all had the same problem. The channel I wanted was "live events only" (which is fine) but when a live event started, it never came on. My understanding is that there are limited "master" sellers so these sellers had all the same "master" seller who didn't put the event on, but other IPTV users said they had it so they used a different "master" provider. Is this correct?
  2. Is there a way to find out which "source" a reseller uses short of asking them? I want IPTV for one channel, the rest are just there for the sake of it so if it's the master source that doesn't put on the live event, I don't want it.
  3. I was streaming on my PC using VLC onto my Chromecast. The channel I had on kept sticking. I don't mind as I'm "getting what I paid for" but what I would want is for it to sort itself. Rather than me going back to my PC, clicking on the link and it working again, I want it to go "oh, I'm fucked, let me refresh the stream"... can IPTV or whatever I'm using to stream IPTV do this?
  4. As much as I'm streaming it from VLC on my PC to Chromecast, am I better getting a dedicated box/Firestick? I'm assuming that will make it all smoother.

  1. When you say "tried" are you taking out a trial? My experience, any IPTV I have tried, sport was never activated - I guess its down to the provider not having random people watching an event for free? There are many providers that have resellers, its finding a reseller that gives a shit and wants to help lol.
  2. Usually from m3u you can see the server from the provider.
  3. Decent resellers/providers will have more than one link for any live event so you just change channel!
  4. Android box / Firestick both great devices, you will find, if you get a decent reseller that they have more than just the basic smarters apps, which is nice for a change! If you wish to PM, I'm using a great service now, found on here actually from a review.

  1. Your provider is most likely a reseller and they will be relying on their provider to get the channels working. To do so will mean they need a good source for those "live events" who as you say activates the stream when they should do. As you more there will be other sources our there that other providers will have.

  2. No. If it's a reseller they will have a provider and they in turn will have a source. Even if you sub directly the provider isn't going to tell you who the source is. Sometimes you can tell by the watermarks they put on the screen.

  3. Just buy a box or my recommendation a 4k firestick. Much less hasle than than what you're doing. But no a stream won't auto "refresh" some apps will retry it up to 5 times though before giving up. If that happens a lot it's a problem with your provider/the channel.

  4. Yes, see above, I love my firesticks. As long as you don't need to record they're great.

He is also trialing. I've seen many sellers and resellers provide the trials but when it comes to live events they are blocked. They are for vvbb plsying customers
