M3U and EPG

by Bluebands242

Hello All!,

Need help understanding a few thing because am new to this. I bought an IPTV stream to use on my Formuler Z7 box and when the reseller sent the 'Service Details' to my email, it also contained an M3U link and EPG link. I have no idea what their used for.

The only thing I know is that the Server URL and Username and Password go into the portal settings on the box and am currently watching the streams. But would link to know what are the other 2 Links (M3U and EPG) are used for.

Kind Regards!

Those boxes work better on mac based services. Give the seller your mac addres 00:1A:79;xx;xx;xx then all u need to do is just enter the server url and your good to go.. hop on youtube and see how its done

M3u link is another way of programing the box. epg is the guide portion of the m3u link. Formuler z also does mag/mac type services also. Yes its overwhelming at first.

M3u is channel list.
Epg is program guide aka what is on.
If you have mag you don't need them.

I'm running a Formuler Z7+. I have a mag service using the Formuler MyTVOnline software, and another service using Tivimate with the m3u/epg links. Both run fine. Unlike what seems to be the general consensus, at the moment I'm liking the Tivimate interface better than MyTVOnline.
