If you have Google play, you can use apps like iptv smarters or tivimate.
And which IPTV server you guys suggest for z8 with no lags any trial ?
I use an android TV and iptv works perfectly well on it. Any app you want to use that's not in the play store can be easily side loaded
Also depends on how open your android TV is and which IPTV service you use.
My service has it's own app that you can download (or you can use an IPTV app to go to the playlists of channels). The other IPTV service I use requires the StbEmu app. Anyhow you don't need another box.
Most smart TVs aren't gonna have the horsepower that a box would have. Especially for IPTV services that have thousands of channels, it can take a looong time to load the channel list, and even longer for the EPG. I have had a lot of success using Minix devices. Currently their best Android box is the MINIX NEO U9-H Plus, and its about $125. But their newest windows box is absolutely amazing, the J50. It costs about $300, but that's with upgrading it to 16GB ddr4 ram, AND a 500GB SSD, so it just flies. You can have multiple monitors @ 8k. So it'll be future proof for a bit. But that's just my 2cents.
I use enTV which has its own app. However the only third party app that seems to work with enTV is Smarters. I've tried a lot of others (e.g. IPTV Extreme, Perfect Player) but they just can't connect to the enTV server with the Xstreams connection. I asked enTV, but they said there were no others. Does anyone know any different? I'm keen to get another app, as my experience recording streams with the 2 I'm using hasn't been good.

Best box = formuler z8. Firestick will get you 80% there.
i use Smarters iptv on a smart tv , and my providers is cloudspal.com i also have a firestick connected to my other smart tv and also with same provider .
You can use many Smart TV’s although some of the provide apps don’t work on them. You can use an Android Box or Firestick. When you decide on a provider ask them what works best for their app or the one they suggest.
