Get a hdhome run that works with a cable card use tvheadend server and your good to go
I also want something like this.
A while ago I installed Kodi on a Raspberry Pi with a TV tuner and an IR receiver. Getting TV Headend set up and channels/EPG organised took many hours of work.
Once I had it all set up it worked perfectly... apart from the fact it would crash and restart every half hour or so. :(
Try PVR Live instead of Kodi, if u use android tv
