Looking to set up IPTV on a firestick 4k. Some beginner help?

Would appreciate help here.

I’ve been looking at installing TiviMate on my new FS. But I understand I need an m3u and an EPG (are these from separate sources?) .

I think I will be fine in downloading and installing everything once I have the links and info. But it’s sourcing an m3u and an EPG I’m having trouble with. Also, would there be any free/cheap trials to begin with for any? It’s not a dealbreaker but would be ideal to test first.

I’m just looking for a push in the right direction as an IPTV newbie. Thanks!

If they advertise as 99.9% buffer free. Or no freeze. Take a wide birth. All iptv will freeze occasionally. It's cheap for a reason.

I'm also not understanding m3u and epg thing. I had gearstv and now in using Dieseltv but it isn't the greatest. Pay per view like boxing and ufc tend to buffer a lot on Dieseltv. Never had that issue with gearstv.

My 2 cents, get an ethernet adapter and hard wire your firestick to your router. I bought this and the difference is night and day. Through wifi, my service buffered like crazy. Now, it rarely buffers.

I'm also looking for an IPTV provider with their servers preferably be hosted North America. I have Kodi running exclusivily on Lubuntu using a Dell 3020 .

for firestick the best app is smarters iptv , but not all providers supports smarters iptv , my current provider cloudspal does , check there tutorials to set it up on a firestick

m3u is a playlist for iptv, epg is basically a tv guide that runs with the playlist usually automatically installed or easy to do once you have the palylist you need an iptv provider
