Audio out of sync with video on Amazon Fire Stick

by jamesc90

When watching IPTV on Smarters Pro on my fire stick, the audio is out of sync by a second or even less but it's noticeable enough. Is there a way to fix this?

This is a common issue with First Gen Fire Sticks. They are too old and do not have the processing power to process all of the data coming in. on IPTV Smarters you can go to Settings > Player Settings then switch from Software to Hardware Decoding. That will let you device use some if it's power to decode and will usually solve the problem.. But hardware decoding will make VOD content unable to play. And the best thing to do would be to get a newer device.

If you are using a newer device then you may have a connection issue. Moving your Fire Stick from the back of your TV to the front by using an HDMI extension cable is something you can do to get a stronger connection. Also, make sure you are on the correct wifi channel. 5G if your device and router are in the same room or within 12-15 of each other with a direct line of sight. Otherwise you should be on the 2.4ghz channel as that is a stronger signal and better for long range.

If your device is newer and your connection is good and you are still having issues then it is most likely an issue on the services side and the only thing you can do is report it to them and hope they fix it.

When you watch a channel you can click on the white hw turning it red and that might fix the out of sync problem.

This is also an issue on the latest 4k stick and requires you to change the audio settings within the stick from Dolby to Stereo. I know this doesn't relate to OP issue, but others will have it.
