Hello I have a nbc gold pass and want to stream through AirPlay to my tv. But as soon as I try I closes down so the videos don’t start.
I use vpn on the iPad but don’t think that will affect it.

I assume you're using NBC gold pass via one of your IPTV providers (otherwise, why post here?). If you have an Apple TV (which sounds likely seeing as you're talking about airplay), why not download an IPTV app to your Apple TV and just play your content from there instead of airplay-ing it from iPad?
Oh okay so the only solution is to use HDMI to my tv
You can’t airplay when you are on a VPN (different subnet) from an iPad.
