Newbie question: Are Live NetTV and Tivimate the same type of app?

by jacklychi

I am new to this whole IPTV thing, and I see 2 of the most popular live TV apps are LiveNetTV and TiviMate. But I can never find a comparison between the two.

Do they serve the same purpose? are they competing? or are they 2 completely different programs?

LiveNetTV is an application with a bunch of channels that allow you to watch IPTV, so it comes with its own bunch of streams that you can choose from as well as a VOD, how extensive that is, I don’t know as I don’t use it.

Tivimate, which is what I use, is an application that allows you take an m3u link for your streams and EPG, from your IPTV provider and display it all in a setup similar to what you would see on a traditional cable service. It’s more of a IPTV player than a service and it’s great for taking your IPTV service and making it more like a cable service like Sky TV or at least give it that cable feel.

Two totally different apps that service two different purposes.

Livenet is a free application for viewing free links (may contain ads)

Tivimate is the preferred solution for a lot of people using m3u links they purchased from their providers.
