How to get started? I am so overwhelmed and confused.

by 404_500

I am trying start using iptv but just not able to understand where to start. I tried all the subreddits mentioned here to find some good service but its just so overwhelming. I am not asking for recommendations (well i am looking for it but its against the rules so dont want this removed) but what I am looking for is how to get started and where to find information. I have fire stick 4k and mainly looking to get us & indian content so how should one go about it. I tried going to sellers subreddit but its total spam. Tried reviews subreddit but that is just basically, please avoid this or a seller pretending to write a review.

Also what is resellers ? How do i know who is a reseller and who is "original"?

I never thought this would be so confusing. so any help would be appreciated.

*mods please let me know if I am breaking any rules and i can edit the post (please dont remove it)

I will throw in a few thoughts.

First, don't over think this. It's really not that complicated, even though it may appear so at first.

You need to select a service. Go with one that offers a free trial.

In your case, because you are using Andriod, once you select a service, you will get 2 URLS. The first url will be the content streaming url. The second will be epg (electronic program guide) or guide data. These URL's will have your username and password embedded in them. They are your's, don't share!

You will then take those URL's and put them in a player. For android, TiviMate (I love this one), iMPlayer, Perfect Player are all options. Sometimes IPTV providers will provide their own APP. Again, this is just them simplifying it for you. In the app there will be a place for you to put in your playlist (url #1) and the EPB (url #2).

Watch!

Now, finding a good provider will be fun/challenge. Look around for good prices. Try to pay with crypto if you can. That's my suggestion.

EDIT: Maybe you know this info already, maybe you don't. But this is how i interpreted your post. Feel free to PM me, i can answer whatever. I'm not affiliated with anyone, just one who loves to play with IPTV!

I’m right there with you. I’ve researched it to death to the point of giving me headaches and I still don’t have an answer of how to get a GOOD provider. Apparently, you have to be invited in for the better ones. Trouble is, IPTV has not been suggested to me by friends or anyone I associate with. I found out about it by researching ways to view live tv after the app I was using (with someone’s login) was forced to stop broadcasting the channels I liked to watch. I enjoy watching the major channels in the US. I don’t need a zillion channels, just the norm that most carriers offer. Unfortunately, I do not have the budget to allow the steep cost that comes with those. Best of luck to you.

Why not start with looking over things on Troypoint and vids on YouTube? I started years ago on Xmbc (precursor to Kodi) and that’s how I wound up learning about iptv/ and VOD style apps. But, for the most part, just start with trials and learn how to install apks, learn how to use various players, learn about epg, and learn about m3u8. By doing lots of trials you’ll definitely become much more acquainted with these things and others. Also, you’ll learn people do not offer up their service info.....especially to the best ones. More people...typically means the quality Lowers. So keep that in mind. Anyways, have a good weekend.

Well I feel your struggle cuz I've been through this not that long ago.
And basically all a gamble game, cuz at the end of the day IPTV is not really legal.
Providers try to keep a low profile, invite only the ones they wish to and not advertise their server that loud, especially when they are located in Europe or North America.

Resellers are the old stockbroker from wallstreet, they'll almost do everything to sell a sub.
Like many mentioned here, start with trails and short period of subscriptions.
But one tip of advice, every IPTV-service has their own USP, that should be tailored to you.
If you value sport and stuff go for one that does the best at that. If catch-up is you thing pick one which large amount of catch-up. It's no shame to have several of IPTV-services.

IPTV cost maybe 1/10 of what cable costs? So why bother only buying just one? One primary, second as back up plus a VOD/Plex subscription and your set for life.

Sign up for a month with a provider and they will send you very specific instructions on how to proceed. It can be overwhelming, but it's really not difficult.

mikechids

Get loads of trials. Pick the one you like best. Try a month maybe longer. Simples. FireTVstick is good way go.

A good place to go is AliExpress and most of the resellers or sellers offer free trial. Try your heart's out. Look at those with many orders and reasonably good reviews. 4.5 or 4 + stars.

You also need to have a correct expectation for IPTV. This will not have the kind of reliability of your satellite or cable but a lot of the good ones have more than 99.5% uptime if u are not too much into those hottest live NBA EPL or Superbowl games which people.

For those live events, sometimes the channels may crap out at the time but hey, I still see the uptime for those are very good probably more than 95%.

You are paying a fraction of the cost you would fork out if u are comparing this to the blood sucking cable providers. It's not going to be perfect but the value proposition is pretty damn high.

Also, since there are many choices out there, I actually have 2 different providers. I get the redundancy in case my live tennis game does not work on one and even with 2 providers, I still pay much less compared to cable and have a shitload of channels to mess with.

And see if they sell for 1 month or 3 months if you want something for a start. Stress test the hell out of it within the time and if that's the one for u, go for 6 months. I would not encourage too long of a subscription because of some stories of resellers or streams going under. I find 6 months to be the sweet spot.

As the other guys are saying, don't overthink this.. Get lots of trials, find those u like.

nettie_netface

original and resellers dont really mattter for you. someone else can explain its kinda confusing. resetreamer, reseller, source.

ask for a FREE trial and they will tell you how to load it onto your device. some of the service providers have a website with links to download their programs. just ask for trials and youll figure it out

And STILL a large majority of these posts aren’t helpful at all to a newbie.

Because I’m British and live in the uk I don’t look for Indian channels and most of not all the providers I use offer m3u so I didn’t know some providers that offer Indian channels only offer MAG.

Totally understand the frustration. Great responses from people here. Basically, you need patience, and do your do diligence. I still can't tell who's a reseller and who's a provider and I've been at this for years. Eventually through trial and error you will find a provider/reseller that will fit your needs. Patience.

Ild like to know, if anyone can help/guide how to become a provider. How to start this from scratch. What equipment to buy, software, etc. Been searching everywhere and had no luck. If anyone here can guide me ild really appreciate the help. The concerns of the original poster is common. I now have 50 people (friends/family) that I send to my provider/reseller. Its perhaps time I do this on my own.

Newfeeflip

You won't really know who is a reseller and who isn't if you're new to the game. Many resellers rebrand the original service as well. Doesn't really matter as long as you find a reseller that communicates and you're happy with the price. The best trial is a month and go month to month until you find a reseller and service you like. Then buy 3 months at a time

Again, I would disagree. Everyone has there own personal opinion but formuler box’s are well Over priced for the spec you get. I just don’t understand why you would suggest stbemu in 2020. Hey if that’s what you like and you save money then carry on. But there are several apps that are so much nicer these days. Tivimate, and my personal fav IMPlayer. It’s so much closer to having a proper day/cable box now.

I have a firestick - not even a new one.

I have https://www.expeditetv.com/ $24 a month, gobs of channels

I have a backup in case it goes down $7 still great https://streamsforus.net/

Both websites are very informative about how to set stuff up on your device. If I can do it, you can do it

Dirtbag45

I can offers you service. Only $10.00 per month. Mostly everything. Only missing channel is the Own channel. Very difficult to get. You can get service from me for free until April. That's when the free trial gets shut down. Contact info is here Iptv $10 a month iptv https://t.me/Cheapcable

Renrut23

Original are the people who own and maintain the service. Resellers are people who buy credits in bulk at a discount and "resell" then to you at usually normal prices. They normally make a small cut as bring a middle man but shouldn't affect your pricing or service for the most part.

I'd ask for free trials and see how you like them. There are also tons of YouTube reviews and videos that show you how to get the different services on your firestick and all that.

tvnut58

c19ufc. I know where to get content. The better India services are mag/stb type services. Hard to find a a m3u India service with epg, catchup and India vod.

Thematorwin

I can point you in the direction of the service I use. They have Indian, Pakistani, USA, UK, Canadian, Australian. All top quality. No reseller nonsense, just a flat fee. £25 a year all in. Works a charm on a firestick

tvnut58

The best options for India content would be on an app called Stbemu..Your India content would have a working guide, Vod movies and catchup.

chadherrella
