I have a magbox 254 and the Portal is missing under Servers, i tried updating to a newer Version but it's not working it says Wrong signature. Anyone has had this issue before could help me

Your old provider has his own software on there that locks the portal settings. Theres 2 ways to load the software. Make sure you do it using the System Recovery Utility. Should get a blue screen. Youtube how to do it. If that doesn’t work. Search for a different firmware online some are R8,R14 etc
Have u tried using a older usb stick with 1gb or 2gb max. Only “mag254” file inside with bootstrap and imageupdate. Im sure you just need to download more mag254 files and one of them will defo work. It can be very tricky. Does your new server provide there own mag software?

Try these files. And mix and match the bootstrap and imageupdate. You will 100% be able to get it back to factory settings and revive your box.
its not firmware locked, its Flushed URL locked so its not showing option to put Portal on the box On MAG > Go to System Settings> Network Info.Take note of the IP Address. Open Putty (Use this link if you don't know how to download or work on Putty https://mediatemple.net/community/products/dv/204404604/using-ssh-in-putty- ) on your laptop ensuring that your laptop is connected to the same network your Mag box is connected to. In Putty, type in the IP address from the Mag Network Info screen. Port should be 22. Ensure that SSH is selected in Putty. Hit Open on Putty. Now when Putty shows the black window to log in, use these settings. Username is root Password is 930920 Your nearly done! Now in Putty, type the following exactly as it appears here. fw_setenv custom_url_hider=false now press enter on your laptop keyboard Next, in Putty, type reboot
