Not all services will work with tivimate like some of the mac/stb type services so it depends.
Tivimate is the way. They have a filelinked code that makes it easy to download. You do have to pay $5/yr but it's leaps and bounds better than the competition and runs like a champ on the 4k firestick.
If you have already purchased your sub and are using stb emu this means that you have purchased a mac based sub and you have no option but to use stb emu. To be honest though you shouldn't be having any problems with stb emu at all. Send me a private message if you would like me to investigate further. 👍

Another +1 for IMPlayer. I run on firestick 4K and shield.
zaltv ( zaltv.com ) works really well for me. You can set it to start automatically.
Tivimate hands down.
OTT Navigator is awesome. Works on mobile as well
I use decoded streams it works great .
I use smarters iptv app with my iptv007 sub , perfect combination works gr8 for me .
Smart iptv. Using it and satisfied. But i guess depends from person to person..
Did you try to adjust the buffer size?
Smart iptv app is good also smartview app both work well on Firestick
Also turn off surround sound this might help.

The best thing to do. Unfortunately now is throw the fire stick in the fire.
