Works perfect on the 4K firestick if your preference is Tivimate
No difference between Z8 and Firestick if you're running tivimate on both.
Don't get the z8 if you're going to use tivimate. No point as what you're paying for with the z8 is their proprietary app.
Get the z8 if all you want to do is IPTV and/or you want a close to cable TV experience with a proper remote and ease of use that anyone can use.
Get the shield if you plan on doing things in addition to Iptv.
You can’t use multi view on the formuler z8 box
I'd get a Nvidia Shield tube for about the same price of a z8 if you're gonna just use tivimate. I have a z8 but have the Shield tube coming Monday

I have a z8, a MI box, a shield tv and a firetv 4k stick. They're all great with tivimate but I'd say MI box or shield are the best two options. Having the play store is nice and you can use cosmidvr to record through live channels - something the firestick or z8 won't have. Avoid the z8. It's overpriced and too much of a hack job - although the remote is nice.
One thing to note - the firestick was half off when I looked yesterday. It is great and as long as you have good filelinked codes - it's easy to set up.
Why would you want to use the tivimate app on a z8 if you could use the native mytvonline app? Isn't it superior?
