My Nvidia Shield appears to have bricked itself. While watching, the screen just froze up and now I can't reboot. It starts to power up and then just goes back to sleep... absolutely no video output.

Anyway, I was just going to buy the new 2019 Shield Pro, but they are out of stock everywhere. I can only find them on ebay. So...

I'm wondering how well Kodi and TiviMate run on the Amazon Fire TV 4K HDR? Not the Firestick, but the full blown version. Are there any gotchas? Do all features work? Recording? Voice control?

I will be using this for Plex and Kodi (a very lightweight configuration of Kodi... just Wako and Premiumizer), along with TiviMate.

Any knowledgeable people that can guide me in this purchase (or anyone know how to unbrick my Shield)?
