Impossible to watch a movie/serie on Formuler Z8 with PLEX

I wrote a post on plex forum to explain my problem:

Hi, I have a synology DS216+ with all my films ans plex media server. When I try to watch my films on Mac with client app, it’s working very well even with Kodi and plex add on my Formuler Z8. But when I try with plex app with android. The video is very slow and I have this error:

The server is not powerful enough to convert and get a smooth playback of this video …

I prefer use plex APP rather than Kodi. How I could fix this ?

I have issues watching Plex on the Formuler Z8 so I just switched to the smart TV App, I always get a green screen.

Yes plex turns on their new player which breaks my Z7 box. Switch it off and works good again. I fear though only matter of time this new player is the only default

Have you tried emby? Also are using the paid version of plex? Also could be cause it needs the CPU power to transcode the video. Works fine and dandy on my sheild, phone , and tablet. But I have a high end pc emby runs off.

Looks like you are transcoding. Try to set to direct play. All new Plex client instead default to like 2mbps transcodes

You need to change player the default player inside the plex app is no good on the z8

I have a similar issue using Plex on my Z8, but it does play, it's just that the image is scrambled. Sort of like I would require an extra CODEC to read the file. Currently have to use my PS3 for Plex.

Hey, try iMPlayer it has Plex integration into the VOD and Series sections, this way you won't need the Plex app!
