IPTV that goes straight to channels

Hi all, I've got a question. I am fully aware of how IPTV+Firestick works and so forth. The thing is I have an elderly family member who is extremely worried about technology. She is comfortable enough to switch on TV and the sat box and then press the channel +& - buttons, but giving her a firestick with the IPTV smarters would worry her too much as there are too many buttons to press before you get to the wanted channels. Is there some android box that on turning on would instantly start playing the channels? Or would that be something from the enigma selection boxes? My goal would be to get her a box and set it up with iptv so that she could watch the channels without going through the android menus. Thanks.

Tivimate. There's a setting that goes to the last channel watched when you power up. Have to wait a few seconds tho

Who started with smarters app, went to tivimate and LOVE tivimate. Its fantastic.

Tivimate would be absolutely perfect. It can be set to play last channel upon opening. Put all favorite channels in favorites and then when app is opened it will load last watched channel. If that channel was in the favorites list, they can then just start pressing the up and down buttons to switch between all the channels in their favorites.

I have mine setup this way and it's amazingly easy. As soon as I click to open the app, the channel pops up, no delay. Of course this would be dependent on your service and how quickly channels load.

Get a mag box don't get a android for elders a mag box is just like a cable box just turn it on and puts you right into the channels

I would go with the new buzz tv or formuler z8 box. Its ment for iptv. Not to mention the remote is normal like a cable tv remote. Tivimate is good too but going through the groups and stuff may be confusing. So those two boxes I mentioned will be best I think

Tivimate - autostart at boot and load last channel

Please get XEEV editor for them as well. Get them 2 subs and setup Xeev editor. Trim all the pointless channels and setup a merged playlist so one m3u and EPG with both subs in - nice short and compact.

The beauty of this is if a URL changes for a provider or the sub goes to pot you can swap there subs around without them having to do anything as you change it on Xtreme and there end merged URL stays the same.

I cannot recommend this enough it's makes it easy to use and if they have issues you can say can you try the backup UK entertainment folder for example which links to the other sub or if the URL changes you change it on xeev tell them to reboot the device and that's all they have to do they won't know anything has happened.

I would go with Formuler Z8 very easy to use, has a launcher setting to run app and it will run whichever was the last channel they viewed.

On Firestick: Install FTVLauncher. It will force the home launcher to be any app you choose. Set the home launcher as tivimate. Disable screen saver in settings as the home button does not work when screensaver is running. Back button works though. If you want her to be able to watch amazon prime and watch other apps, also install ATV Launcher Pro and set that as home. You can remove all unneeded apps from that screen. Also set a parental control password in tivimate and restrict access to all. In tivimate under favorites includes her channels+ backups channels and hide all other groups.

Z8...future proof, you can autoload the TV app, set it to the 'All' category and she can just use up and down channel on the remote :) perfect!

I went through that with my mom, but there was always something..lol I just ended up setting her up with cable, made her a favorites list and shes happy with that setup.

Put STB Emulator on fire stick, it's just like Mag box, then do favorites.

Whichever IPTV app you end up using just go into the settings while in the app and you will see an auto boot option on startup which will automatically load up the app when you turn the device on.

Or setup IPVanish to autolaunch Tivimate and have Tivimatr load last channel for automated security

Does she already have a firestick? We have an STB app which is mag box setup and will definitely be easy to use!

Perfect Player has an option to play last channel on startup, and auto start on bootup.

You could create a small app with Tasker app factory to keep launching the app every time it's closed, in an infinite loop.

In the Iptv Smarters settings there is an option to autostart on boot what ever service your using with smarters.

Formuler and dreamlink autostart to live TV. Tivimate might be too complicated for most seniors.
