Does anyone else with Comcast Internet Experiencing Major buffering?

by Miamipoker

I am new to IPTV and have comcast xfinity internet. Speeds are 300 mbps without NORD and 150 mbps using it.

I am trialing a few IPTV providers and they wall seems to have major buffering just with the VOD movies and shows.. Basically every 10 seconds it freezes. Making VOD unwatchable but the live TV streams are okay. Any idea if this is related to comcast? I am using their router/cable modem.

THiking it could be :

  1. All the providers sucks.
  2. Comcast is throttleing either through their router or their service.
  3. Wondering if I should replace the router with one not leased from comcast ( Should do this anyway if I stay with Comcast) or dump them for verzion.. Or keep trying providers.
  4. I have used NORD VPN and still get the buffering with VOD service.. Also, odd is that emby plays well in the services I have tried with minimal buffering..

Any ideas?

Thanks all for the help. I was contacted by an IPTV provider through Chat that claimed to have a service with no buffering. (Like all of them claim) but I tried it and it works without any buffering at all (So far) .. So, I guess it was the providers as opposed to comcast that was the problem. So, looks like I'm good! Thanks again..

Try a vpn. This is the only way around ISP throttling which Comcast is known to do.

Probably the provider rather than anything to do with your setup or Comcast. While it’s possible that it could be isp related, it’s more than likely your iptv service. So to test this theory....install Cinema HD or Cyberflix.....get a free trial to All Debrid for 7 days....link all Debrid to your cinema or cyberflix app....and see if buffering occurs when playing a handful of selections. If not, then it’s your iptv service....if so, then you gotta delve into VPNs and all that. Good luck, my friend.

Don't know where you're at, but my ISP is claiming "capacity issues". I've had issues all week in the evenings starting around 7pm and lasting all night. My wife can't even work online the signal is so weak. Hardwired is getting 30% of the mbps I get during the day. I also run all my firesticks through VPN, so I doubt it's throttling, but not 100% convinced it's a "capacity issue" either

VPN VPN VPN... I was in the same situation as you... but no longer :) There's some good cheap ones. Some IPTV boxes can support VPNs. Otherwise you need a router that can support a VPN.

I have a ASUS router with merlin software... that way I can choose which devices get vpn traffic vs not.
