M3U Editor now offers an EPG service

by frits1993

8 Months ago, I posted a link to my then-hobby project: m3u-editor.com

A lot has happened since, and the editor now serves thousands of users. I have used their feedback to try and build the most complete M3U IPTV software out there, and thought to share an update I think makes the tool very complete.

One of the most requested features is a dedicated EPG service built-in the tool. I have launched exactly that.

Instead of having to import an existing EPG XML file, one can now simply select the countries they want to include in their EPG, and a customised EPG file is created instantly. In the editor, the channels can then be matched to the available channels by searching within the EPG and aligning the TVG-IDs.

Without getting into much of the technology, this means that M3U Editor can now serve is a one-stop-shop for all M3U related tweaks and edits.

I tried out an IPTV service awhile back using xteve to feed the channels into Plex DVR, but got hung up on the part where I have to put in a zip code for the guide data as nothing would match up.

Would this service help me with that problem?

Any plan to also sell that epg service so epg can be used by resellers customers maybe?
